Step Eight: A pair of "store doors" was installed to allow easy access to the deck and hot tub. Since a window was removed where the door went in, no new header had to be put in the wall framing. I just had to remove the window, cut out the wall below and put the pre-hung doors into the hole.

When installing an exterior door, it is important to seal or paint it completely. Be sure to get both faces at the same time and all edges (top, bottom, and sides). Because of the differences in temperature and humidity between the interior of a house and the exterior, wood doors will warp if they are not properly sealed.
